Larry Paragano, Jr.
After graduating from Villanova University with his Business Degree in 1987, Mr. Paragano was introduced to the family real estate business where an intensive and all-encompassing education in the business of commercial property management ensued. He gained a wide-range of experience in lease negotiations, renovations to existing structures and renovations of office and store interiors, contractor negotiations, land approvals, variance applications and approvals, as well as financial forecasting of potential commercial investments.
In 1990, Larry’s father, Larry Paragano, Sr., transferred ownership of a number of his commercial properties entirely to his five children forming Paragano Associates for which Larry, Jr., was named Managing General Partner. Managed solely by Paragano Associates, all holdings total over 1,200,000 square feet of office, retail, and industrial space. Since then, the entity added Assisted and Independent Living development to its portfolio as well. Mr. Paragano oversaw the purchase, design, development and construction of the assets as well as the management and maintenance of the facility once developed. At that same time, Mr. Paragano was involved in the initiation of a third-party construction management company named Paragano Construction Services, LLC which built over 1,000,000 square feet of office, retail, industrial and automotive space for such companies as Ford, Jaguar, Thermo Finnegan, and the like.
After Paragano Associates made the decision to do a divisive reorganization amongst its members in 2008, Larry Jr. chose to relocate his family and operations to the Carolinas. Most of the entity’s New Jersey holdings were sold which enabled the pursuit of opportunities in North and South Carolina, New Jersey, Georgia and Texas. Today, Mr. Paragano manages and maintains both retail and office product in the Charleston, Columbia, and Lumberton, North Carolina areas as well as developing residential sites in Texas and ownership interests in Georgia. The business continues to chart a course of conservative expansion as its looks to increase its commercial property holdings.
Larry, Jr. is a former certified real estate appraiser as well as a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of New Jersey. He maintains offices in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and in his free time enjoys golf, travel and being part of his children’s active lifestyle.
